Wooden visor The bumpy oak, the so-called English or European oak (Quercus robur), is light to medium brown, sometimes called "cat's paw" oak, it is named because of the numerous small bumps. One of England's most famous oak trees, The Major Oak, is a massive tree found in the Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, England.It is estimated that the tree is approximately 1,000 years old and was supposedly a hiding place for Robin Hood.
